SELECTED PROJECTS

Real projects, measured systems, practical energy strategy.

These selected projects show how I approach complex rural, self-build and off-grid energy challenges — from early strategy through to practical system decisions, monitored performance and long-term resilience.

Off-Grid Barn Conversion with ASHP

A £100,000+ grid connection obstacle turned into a fully operational off-grid family home.

I worked on the energy system behind the project, combining solar PV, battery storage, backup generation and long-term monitored performance data gathered since 2019.

Energy-Positive Buildings as Power Stations

Energy-positive buildings developed through the SPECIFIC programme as part of the “Buildings as Power Stations” initiative.

My role involved inverter, battery storage and renewable energy system integration within research-led buildings designed to generate, store and manage energy intelligently.

Project profile coming soon.

Scottish Woodlands Micro-grid

A three-phase off-grid power system designed to support remote forestry operations where a conventional grid connection was impractical.

My work contributed to a standalone energy infrastructure solution combining renewable generation, battery storage, backup power and three-phase distribution for a demanding rural site.

Project profile coming soon.
